  • Hold a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification with the Scrum Alliance.
  • Attend a certified A-CSPO educational offering to gain techniques that expand into managing stakeholders, product discovery, and advanced Product Backlog management.
  • Successfully complete all educator-designed components of an approved educational offering. This may include pre- or post-course work as deemed necessary by your approved educator to complete the learning objectives.
  • You will be asked to accept the A-CSPO License Agreement and complete your Scrum Alliance membership profile.

These skills include mastery of the Product Owner role; product management in an Agile environment; working closely with customers and users; and advanced techniques for working with the Product Backlog.

To receive the Advanced Certified Product Owner (A-CSPO) certification, you need to have a current Certified Scrum Product Owner certification with the Scrum Alliance, have 1 year of work experience as a Product Owner in the last 5 years, and satisfactorily complete an accredited A-CSPO program.

There are NO tests to obtain any of the certifications that you can achieve with our programs. However, the Scrum Alliance places a strong emphasis on validated work experience in order receive the more advanced certifications. Since our CSTs are the ones charged by the Scrum Alliance to make sure that learners who they certify meet a level of competency, as you go along, your assignments and exercises will be evaluated by your instructor and will have to be satisfactorily performed in order for them to request your certification be issued.

A-CSPO - Certification Details

Attending 2 day of A-CSPO workshop and satisfying pre-post case study, assigned by trainer and confirming your 12 months of PO experience makes you to get your A-CSPO Certificate. There is no online/offline exam. However, the Scrum Alliance places a strong emphasis on validated work experience in order to receive more advanced certifications. Trainer's are given charge and ownership to make sure that learners meet a level of competency. As you go along with them, they request your certification be issued from Scrum Alliance.
